"Burke County advises citizens how to receive public notifications"
Citizens who wish to receive notifications regarding potential evacuations due to the South Mountains State Park wildfire or other public safety notifications in their area through their cellular phones should register with Hyper-Reach, Burke County’s reverse 911 notification system. If you have a residential telephone in your home, that number is already registered unless you have asked for it to be removed in the past.
Please do not call the communication’s center to register
