11/24/16 Area Weather Forecast

Lingering clouds and scattered showers today, nothing significant enough to have substantial effects on the fire situation. Dense fog and smoke tonight. Drying though the weekend, mostly sunny.

Next front coming in Monday with some moisture; the greater chance of precipitation is Tuesday with a 60% possibility of prolonged precipitation with perhaps several inches of rain possible along the southeast facing Blue Ridge.

FIRE WEATHER...
Slightly better moisture across the region ahead of an approaching weak cold front has lessened fire danger a bit. However, the light rain amounts are doing little to improve overall fire conditions and dry weather will redevelop Friday through the weekend. There is the potential for much better wetting rains next Tuesday/Wednesday.
