Current Status
·        The fire is currently estimated at 6,435 acres in steep terrain with an estimated containment of 70%.
·        A briefing and tour of the fire area was given today to Steve Troxler-North Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture, Zane Hedgecock-Chief of Staff for the Commissioner, Joy Hicks-Legislative Liaison, Representative Elect- David Rogers, Representative Hugh Blackwell, Representative Kelly Hastings, Senator Warren Daniel, Emma Wallace- Field Representative to Congressman Mark Meadows, and Mitch Gillespie- Staffer to Speaker of the House- Tim Moore
·        Fire activity is minimal with smoldering observed.   
·        The incident management team is preparing a transition plan to prepare for the incoming team to manage the fire.
·        More resources are being released to help with other wildfires in the region.

Plans for Tomorrow
Continue mop up and to hold the fire line in all divisions and improve fire lines.  Structure protection and triage.
