Henderson County Announces Additional Evacuation Near Fire

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – 11/15/2016; 4:30 PM
Henderson County emergency management officials and law enforcement will implement an evacuation of Highway 9 between the intersections of Highway 74-A and Shumont Road at noon on Wednesday, November 16th. 

The evacuation notice will include all roads that connect to Highway 9. Evacuations should be completed by 5:00 p.m. the same day. If you cannot evacuate your home due to special needs or disability, please call 911.

Residents can shelter at Grace Lutheran Church, 1245 6th Avenue West, Hendersonville. The Red Cross is operating this shelter; the shelter phone number is 828-693-5605.
