Some areas in the Southeast have not
had significant rainfall in more than 100 days, and these drought conditions
have created the perfect conditions for wildfires to spread. In fact, many
parts of the Southeast haven’t experienced this level of low humidity in more
than 60 years!
States are
issuing burn bans and forest campfire restrictions since the majority of fires
are human-caused. All outdoor activities from turkey frying to hunting have
potential to spark large fires.
