Current Status
•   The fire is currently estimated at 6,424 acres in steep terrain with an estimated containment of 40%.
•    The cold front continues to bring high winds and is expected to contribute to very low humidity throughout the night and tomorrow.
•     Fireline preparations from previous days allowed all existing lines to contain the fire despite strong and gusty winds throughout the day.
•      Residents can access information on how to prepare their home and property for a wildfire by visiting Ready, Set, Go,  http://www.wildlandfirersg.org/
•      Aerial resources are still available to respond to the fire if needed in areas of concern.
•      Structure protection groups continue to use leaf blowers and rakes to remove leaf litter around homes near the fire area.
•      If any residents are in need of a shelter due to the effects of the fire, please call 828-764-7146.

Shelters are available and will open depending on need.

Plans for Tomorrow
